Michael is a returning coach, who grew up playing for a local club that went on to win three state championships. He played at South Eugene High School and was part of the 2002 State Championship team. At the University of Oregon, he earned a degree in Human Physiology, while helping the UO Club soccer team win multiple regional tournaments and a national championship. He has a deep commitment to youth health, and will be furthering these efforts as a teacher at Yujin Gakuen Japanese Immersion Elementary school.
As a coach, he returned to South Eugene High School to lead various Junior Varsity teams for eight seasons. Over the past 15 years, Michael has also been able to coach a wide variety of recreational and club teams throughout our community, including our youngest Little Metro group, a co-ed middle school team, and his UO club soccer team. Michael has also been a referee and encourages everyone to join and support our local referees and their associations.
