EMFC Player Pathway
The EMFC player pathway provides opportunities for all kind of players. Players who want to pursue a collegiate career need to prepare themselves academically and athletically. Finding a perfect fit – athletically and academically – and being able to navigate affordability of this dream, is a challenge and needs to be prepared well in advance.
College coaches also look for good fits for their collegiate programs. Student athletes need to compete athletically well AND succeed in the classroom. Your academic preparation is critical to your and the college coaches’ success.
The earlier players start preparing themselves and informing themselves to navigate the college recruitment pathway the better. Meet Jonny LeMay, the EMFC college advisor.
Jonny is originally from Bakersfield, CA where he grew up playing competitive club soccer. He started his coaching journey at Frontier High School and at South Valley Surf. Jonny then went on to coach at Southwestern Oregon Community College for two years, where he also was the Recruitment Specialist. He has a Master Degree in Sports Management. He currently coaches for EMFC and is the Assistant Coach for the Men’s and Women’s Soccer Programs at Bushnell University
