In 2021 Eugene Metro FC applied and was admitted to the Girls Academy League, a national platform for top female players. The Girls Academy is the leading youth development platform for the best female soccer players in the United States. GA is the only national youth soccer platform that represents the collective vision of member clubs and actively engages the voice of the players to take real ownership of the league. The GA embraces the desire of club members and players to maintain an unrivaled standard of excellence in coaching, competition, and regional and national showcase events throughout the year. In 2025, our club applied to GA Aspire and was accepted. We are looking forward to entering our Competitive 1 teams in the same platform as our Premier teams.

The launch of ASPIRE marks a major step in our commitment to player development, expanding GA’s standards of excellence to a broader ecosystem. By introducing a tier two league, the GA is creating new opportunities for young women to challenge themselves and grow within a structured pathway.
GA is committed to cultivating an environment that empowers each player to reach their best potential as an exceptional athlete and human being by celebrating the player’s journey with a lifelong love of the game through competition, showcases, and camaraderie.

Season 2025-26
After tryouts in May, teams will train typically 2-3 times a week (Mon-Wed and every other Friday). Each of the GA teams will have a Tournament schedule and a GA Aspire League schedule:
Preliminary GA Aspire League Schedule
The 2025-26 season will have the following clubs in our GA Aspire Oregon Division (Columbia Premier, Soccer Chance Academy, Portland City United, Bend FC, EMFC)
- Our youngest GA Aspire teams (2013G Wolfsburg Comp and 2012G Man City Comp) will play in OYSA in the fall. We will double register those teams with OYSA cards and GA cards so they can play a solid 10 game fall season. The conference chose this option to avoid too much travel.
- Both teams play a summer tournament schedule.
- U13 2013G Wolfsburg Comp and U14 2012G Man City Comp will play 10 OYSA Fall League games.
- Both teams will then join the rest of the GA Aspire teams in January for our regular GA Aspire schedule.
