The Eugene Metro Fútbol Club encourages and motivates special needs, recreational, and competitive soccer players in our community to advance their individual and team skills by providing quality training, committed teams, and skilled coaching.

Our philosophy

EMFC strives to develop confident and proactive players who enjoy and develop a passion for the game. All EMFC staff, players and coaches are guided by the central core values: Excellence, work ethic, grit, commitment, community and a desire for learning and improvement. Our coaches strive to instill respect for team mates, coaches, officials, opponents, spectators, and the game itself.

Soccer players have to make quick decisions in almost every game situation. EMFC believes to develop technically and tactically proficient players who are well prepared to make confident and sound decisions on and off the ball. In addition, we believe that leadership and communication skills are essential for the success of our players. We hold players accountable to develop a competitive mentality and an appropriate response to adversity. We expect players to take ownership in their development.

Our curriculum teaches players in a structured, progressive, and positive environment to solve soccer problems creatively and skillfully. Overcoming challenges facilitate learning. We provide appropriate pathways based on individual needs.
