Kyle Helsel grew up in Cottage Grove and has played soccer since the age of five. A standout player at Cottage Grove High School, he was part of three league championship teams and a 2008 state title, serving as team captain his senior year. He went on to play collegiate soccer on a full athletic scholarship at Clark College for two seasons.
Kyle has coached youth and high school soccer for more than a decade and currently serves as JV head coach and varsity assistant for the Cottage Grove High School boys program. He also co-directs the Nine to Five Soccer Camp, where he helps lead player development and training. Kyle is passionate about helping athletes grow, compete, and love the game.
When Kyle is not on the soccer field, you’ll find him spending time with his wife, Kara and four kids.
