Phil is a lifelong football enthusiast from England, where he developed a deep passion for the sport from a very young age. When he was old enough, he joined his local competitive football club, along with the school team. When there were no scheduled practices, he would play football daily in the streets with his friends until the streetlights came on. A year before finishing high school, he decided to stop playing competitively to join his local semi-pro rugby team. During his downtime he was still playing five-a-side and Sunday league football.
Eager to get back on the pitch after a long time away from the sport, Phil began volunteering as a head coach for a Kidsports team, where he discovered his passion for teaching the younger generation the fundamentals of the game in a fun and engaging way. Since joining EMFC in the fall of 2020, Phil has worked with the Mini & Little Metro program along with the Discovery program, and he is currently a head coach for the U11-U12 boys side of the club.
