He began coaching with EMFC in 2011 while still a student at the University of Oregon. He has previously directed the Little Metros program, run camps, and been both an assistant and head coach to numerous teams throughout the years.
Porter grew up in Benicia, California. His youth playing included time with Benicia Arsenal and Diablo Valley SC. He played with Cal -North ODP teams, attended Super -Y League National Camp, and won 3 State Cup Championships. His first coaching experience came with Benicia Arsenal, Benicia High School, and UK International soccer camps. Porter holds a USSF ‘C’ License in addition to numerous diplomas, and regularly participates in online coaching courses.
